Restaurant Manager Jobs description
A Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation, which encompasses banquets, culinary, room service and maintaining quality product and service levels while maximizing profits; forecasting and budgeting; selecting, training and developing employees. A Restaurant Manager prepares the annual restaurant budget and monthly forecasts for food and beverage needs and expenses along with performing human resource functions for staff, including scheduling, evaluating, and training staff. Additionally, the Restaurant Manager establishes and controls, through department heads, payroll, and other operating expenses in the restaurant. Holding periodic meetings with staff to review past and future performance of service, quality, and general information concerning guest and employee relations is also to be done by the Restaurant Manager.Restaurant Managers often have a Bachelor's degree or a minimum 4 years experience in hotel management. Restaurant Manager Jobs demand time management skills, negotiation skills, and ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
