Sodexo is seeking our Catering Manager 3 for the University of Colorado in Greeley, CO. UNC is proud to be an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution and is nestled between the Rocky Mountains and Colorado\u2019s stunning high plains.
The Catering Manager will focus on all main campus and off campus Catering, events ranging form high end and high volume catering, VIP dinners, Alumni dinners, Athletic Banquets, Weddings, Summer Camps and Conferences - to day to day campus catering for faculty meetings, association meetings, etc.
This position will manage large scale high-profile events, A strong emphasis will be placed on client and customer engagement, strengthening the catering operations and growing catering and conference business - offering World Class Catering service.
In setting a foundation for success, the successful candidate will have excellent executive client relations, campus alumni relations, experience working with a Campus President's office and well established team leader to collaborate with other departments and Sodexo managers.

Targeted Salary Range for this Catering Manager rol is $70,000 - $80,000.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:
Have 2-5 years of experience in high volume and high profile catering management, universities and campus catering preferred
Have formal training in Catering services, with particular emphasis on customer service, event planning and presentation, and event management preferred
Manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
Have strong leadership skills, excellent computer skills, culinary knowledge and experience managing labor, food and beverage cost controls
Have technical competence in unit financial management, pricing, menu development and training and development of managers and front line hourly employees

Coordinate all unit catering initiatives to drive sales growth and track results

Position Summary
Oversight of catering activities for a medium to large size location/unit with less than $1.5M in managed catering volume. Complex events with a high degree of hands on involvement in catering solutions. Large amount of high profile events. Strong client interaction.Key Duties- Oversight of Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and use of catering programs to direct daily catering events including; food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations. - Oversight of the sales process for catering and/or conference services. Works with client and customers to design events.- Ensures employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their job, and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines as assigned.- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment including both food and physical safety in order to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards in various environments. Drives the Zero Harm mindset.- Complies with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary- Supervises employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience \u2013 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
