Food Production Manager Jobs
A Food Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage operation, which encompasses banquets, culinary, room service and maintaining quality product and service levels while maximizing profits; forecasting and budgeting; selecting, training and developing employees. A Food Production Manager prepares the annual Food and Beverage budget and monthly forecasts for food and beverage needs and expenses along with performing human resource functions for staff, including scheduling, evaluating, and training staff. Additionally, the Food Production Manager establishes and controls, through department heads, payroll, and other operating expenses in the Food and Beverage Department. Holding periodic meetings with staff to review past and future performance of service, quality, and general information concerning guest and employee relations is also to be done by the Food Production Manager.
Food Production Managers often have a Bachelor's degree or a minimum 4 years experience in food and beverage management. Food Production Manager Jobs demand time management skills, negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
