Fox dampens higher profit, revenue at News Corp

Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp has higher quarterly revenue. The San Francisco Giants’ World Series sweep of the Detroit Tigers deprived Fox of three high profile nights of live event programming. Analysts were expecting revenue of $9.28 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. News Corp is preparing to separate its faster growing entertainment assets from its newspapers.
