Reporting to the Food Services Manager and working within the kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and/or patient services, the Food Service Worker performs a variety of food service tasks in the areas of meal assembly, service and delivery, dishwashing, sanitation and safety.

Operates, assembles, disassembles, disinfects and cleans equipment and washes pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
Assists with timely delivery and set-up of catering events around the organization and breakdown and clean up upon completion of events
Processes priority meal services/late trays and delivers food trays to patients in a timely manner, following established guidelines.
Appropriately performs some food preparation duties while effectively assembling food and beverages on tray line, ensuring smooth flow and correct portion control
May work as cashier in dining room or off-site locations
Maintains cleanliness of dining room and work area and assists with stocking of cafeteria
Complies with all HACCP rules
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Demonstrated experience working in a kitchen/dining environment, interacting closely with customers and peers.
Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques
