Job Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience is required
- Supervisory experience is preferred
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Nutrition Services, supervises food service employees in the kitchen and cafeteria. Maintains hospital, department and regulatory agency standards for safety, sanitation, quality and cost containment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associates’s Degree in Nutrition Related Field is preferred. Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training in Dietary Management is required
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years experience in a health care facility.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must be familiar with institutional kitchen equipment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, hold staff accountable to assigned tasks, and delegate appropriately.
Ability to lead others effectively and fairly.
