Overview
A Baltimore based
production company
specializing in 5K obstacle course races is seeking an individual to assist in the Food and Beverage department which is responsible for
secur
ing
f
ood
and beverage
vendors
for all scheduled events.
This p
erson will
also
be responsible to
coordinate with local
area
caterers
to facilitate RSP staff
meals to include
breakfast,
lunch
and
dinner
Responsibilities:
Source
qualified
food vendors/concessionaires local to the race location for each
RFYL e
vent to include vendors that offer
a variety of meal options in addition to
local delicacies,
and
vegetarian and vegan friendly
items
Assist F& B Coordinator in r
esearch
ing
venue specific
alcohol and liquor permitting requirements
Maintain timelines for meeting permitting
and deadlines
requirements
on an event by event
basis
Create breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus with local caterer to en
sure
staff meal needs are being met accordingly
to any
dietary restrictions/allergies
Manage inventory of craft services to include internal staff and Hospitality at each RFYL event
Work with beer distributor on
product
ch
oices
for each
RFYL Race
Coordinate the placement and set-up of all distributor and vendor supplies/equipment
within allotted space requirements
to ensure ease of access
on event day
Oversee food and beverage operations on event day
Qualifications:
Excellent written,
verbal
and organizational
skills
1-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry
Proven success with multitasking
Experience with cold calling
Basic knowledge of obtaining temporary alcohol permits/licensing
Ability to think quickly and/or under pressure while keeping the integrity of the company and professionalism
Exceptional time management skills for managing deadlines
Minimum
50% travel
Education/Certifications:
BS degree in Hospitality Management or the equivalent
ServSafe Certification or the equivalent
