When you enter one of our restaurants, it isn't your typical visit to a regular chain. We aim to provide our guests with a unique experience every time they visit. Everything on our menu is made from scratch; our Chefs pride themselves in using the freshest ingredients to accentuate our diverse menu. Additionally, our Chefs and Bartenders have started making delicious meals for those watching what they eat, with low calorie entrees and drinks.
At this time we're currently looking for a Corporate Executive Sushi Chef to be based in the San Antonio area. The person we bring aboard will be responsible for taking our upscale Japanese and sushi concept to the next level! We seek that special combination of culinary leader, sushi chef, business person and change agent who will help lead and grow our concept for the next 20 years. Reporting directly to the President, Founder and CEO this is a very special opportunity for the right candidate to help shape and form culinary operations.
We seek a talented and creative culinary/sushi chef who is also a strategic thinker with dynamic leadership skills, who has a selfless “no quit” attitude, and individual who is humble and team focused!
10 years of experience with Sushi/Japanese Cuisine with a minimum of 5 years as an Executive Sushi Chef
High volume background; must have Sushi Chef experience in restaurants doing over $2 million in sales per year
Excellent knife skills in deboning and fileting fish such as Salmon or other similar fish; superb ability with the sashimi knife
Comprehensive experience developing and delivering training on sushi and Japanese food
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing Sushi staff
Extensive understanding of food health and sanitation standards, kitchen safety standards, and developing and implementing compliance programs
Comprehensive experience with analyzing P&L statements
