Requirements for Applying
This position is OPEN and PROMOTIONAL, meaning it is open to all qualified applicants from both inside and outside LESD, including permanent LESD employees and LESD substitutes. Internal applicants DO NOT need to complete the on-line application or attach supplemental materials (resume, letters of recommendation, etc.). Instead, please submit only a complete Reassignment Request Form to the HR office by the closing date. Applicants from outside LESD must complete the on-line application through Ed-Join and attach all required documents.
REQUIRED FOR ALL APPLICANTS: Valid California Driver's License
PREFERRED FOR ALL APPLICANTS: Successful experience working in a food services department within a public school district and/or in industry. Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is also preferred.
FOR OUTSIDE (non-LESD) APPLICANTS: The following documents must be uploaded and attached to the completed on-line application - a copy of a valid driver's license.

The Lawndale Elementary School District, located in the heart of the South Bay in Lawndale California, consists of nine school sites, providing a public school education to approximately 6,000 students. Six elementary schools provide kindergarten through 5th grade classes. Two middle schools serve the 6th through 8th grades. The District also serves approximately 500 preschool students residing in the community.
