5:00pm to 1:00am

This position receives cash from customers or employees in payment for food items purchased and also performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial kitchen, storeroom, dining, or serving area with little or no supervision.

Essential Duties:

Makes change or cashes checks.

Operates cash register to record price, compile printed list, and display costs.

Check cafeteria area periodically to make sure all is continually stocked and everything is full/working.

Continually wipes and cleans dining room and other associated areas.

Prepares special lists and their prices.

Observes any problems with the quality or quantity of food being served.

Assists customers as needed requested with general information, inquires, etc.

Places cash drawers from the safe into registers.

May work as a Relief Cashier in certain areas or situations.

May assist other employees in the food service area to help out as needed

Assists cooks and others as needed. Coordinates personal duties as required by the overall food service operations.

Delivers and sets up all local catering services as requested on an order complete with beverages, plates, napkins, appropriate utensils, etc.

Maintains a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines.

Restocks salad or soup station during service as is needed. Stocks storage areas with various products.

Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.

Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in a an organized and orderly manner.

Cleans, sweeps, wipes down, etc. all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas (in some cases), spike rooms, and equipment as well as all floors.

Vacuums food service areas periodically or as requested

Removes garbage from assigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, snack bars, display cases, serving lines. Etc.

Assists with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.

May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.

May occasionally use PC to enter all hourly employee timecards.

May order food from distributor when needed''

POSITIONS REQUIRE:

* MUST be available from 5:00pm to 1:00amApplicants must be able to provide evidence of their knowledge of cash handling procedures, cleaning processes, and cleaning procedures.

* Preference will be given to those candidates with at least one year of cash handling experience.

* Ability to multitask and work with little to no supervision.

Background position ranking skill levels: Language Skills: 1. Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 2. Write simple correspondence. Math Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Abilities: 1. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form. 2. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 3. Work in an organized manner and effectively with co-workers, customers and supervisors.

Physical Demands: Employees are regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, hear, and talk. The requirements of certain cashier positions may regularly require the incumbent to either stand or sit for an entire shift. Employees are occasionally required to and walk. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment noise level is usually quiet.
