Foodservice Key Account Manager - San Antonio, TX','1209019','!*!Primary Role:
The Key Account Manager will be responsible to increase and maintain the profitable sales of Kraft Foods Group, Inc. products to Distribution Accounts. Responsibilities include increasing the product volume growth and mix penetration through the successful development of distribution programs and promotions.
Job Responsibilities Include:
I. DISTRIBUTOR ACCOUNTS:
Achieves controllable volume plan at assigned distributors consistent with Divisional and Regional Goals.
Manages Trade Programs at budgeted spending levels by evaluating dollars spent verses incremental volume increases at assigned distributors.
Insures all consuming account new sales confirmations are shipped from distributors in a timely manner,
Increases product distribution points to develop new product introductions and proper product mix of Kraft products.
Minimizes Regional cost (deductions, sales policy claims, bad debts, pricing errors, damaged products to acceptable levels).
Communicates sales leads from distributor to consuming account representatives within region area.
Develops and presents business reviews with key assigned distributors.
Manages and identifies effective brewing equipment programs to maximize volume attainment while minimizing the potential of competitor usage of said equipment.
Manages distributor sales training programs effectively to maximize rapport with sales representatives.
Provides assistance to procurement managers and logistics to manage inventories and rotation of product especially refrigerated food products.
II. DEVELOP & EXECUTE TIMELY AND EFFECTIVE TERRITORY MANAGEMENT:
Maintains and manages consuming account and distributor administration duties by utilizing company guidelines and deployment systems.
Presents all reports required by management in a complete and accurate manner within designated time frames.
Manages claims, credits, debit memos, drafts, and all administrative functions along company guidelines.
Keeps management informed of changing customer status, competitive status on products, promotions, and pricing on company and competitive lines.
Manages expenses to insure profitability.
Becomes industry expert within the distribution community.
III. SALES PLANNING & ANALYSIS
Develops a thorough working knowledge of the trading area by analysis of sales and marketing data.
Complete Kraft Foods Group, Inc. product knowledge.
Effectively prepares presentations, samples and merchandising materials.
All levels of field sales personnel
BS/BA Degree Required
Foodservice industry sales experience preferred
Excellent planning, oral, and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, selling, and negotiation skills – ability to build and sustain relationship
A command of business analytics including computer literacy and finance/controls
Have expertise in the area of product characteristics: coffee & snacks
Understand the strategic and tactical aspects of marketing programs to drive incremental sales
The ability to combine interpersonal skills and analytic selling tools to influence customers
