Lead the IT infrastructure planning, coordination, and rollout including the Point of Sale (POS) system, Store Communication System, Hardware, and back-end integration for assigned CHEF’STORE locations. Ensure the execution of the defined implementation plan to meet store opening dates.
Coordinate the implementation of related activities for store personnel and third - party resources ensuring compliance to budget and scheduling constraints.
Support the CHEF'STORE management staff by conducting on-site kick off meetings and weekly status calls. Coordinates all training associated with the store technology implementation.
Identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and recommend solutions to issues that occur as results of the implementation.
Provide daily and weekly status updates on the project plan, issues log, milestones, and training. Become expert on POS System and its integration to the US Foods corporate systems.
Provide the POS training classroom and hands-on training to store staff.
Transfer knowledge to store employees essential to achieve post-opening for sustainability.
Ability to travel extensively (70% or more).
Communicates effectively (both written and oral) with strong presentation skills, training skills, and interpersonal skills. Interacts effectively with non IT-literate employees. Administers clear documented instructions.
Manages multiple demands using proven analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilities.
Understands IT fundamentals with a high degree of technical aptitude and strong sense of urgency.
Works independently delivering projects within very strict deadline periods.
5 years experience in deploying IT systems and hardware.
Prior experience in integrating back-end applications.
Strong knowledge in IT infrastructure coordination.
Strong knowledge in configuring telecommunications systems and networks.
Available for up to 70% overnight domestic travel.
Prior experience implementing retail based Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Knowledge of US Foods infrastructure as either a full-time employee or as an onsite contractor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with Microsoft Project.
Knowledge specific to the food or foodservice industry.
Knowledge of the cash and carry environment.
Prior experience with Retalix POS software.
