The Manager, Night Warehouse will perform the following duties:
-Supervises warehouse supervisors and associates assigned to the night shift to include but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Ensure staff maintains a level of professionalism, competency and motivation through the direction of selection, development and ongoing evaluation. Promotes safety through the re-enforcement of current safety programs, additional programs, safety meetings, proper footwear and clothing and discussions of workers' compensation costs.
-Responsible that preferred methods and best demonstrated practices are adhered to at all times.
-Works closely with Transportation Manager to ensure the highest level of efficiency within the overall operation. Ensures trucks are unloaded/loaded properly on an accurate and timely basis by overseeing workload scheduling and delivery of product in the warehouse. May operate powered material handling equipment.
-Ensures building and equipment are maintained.
-Ensures proper facility housekeeping, along with a high level of sanitation, is maintained at all times.
-Manages all warehouse departmental expenses related to maintaining a safe, productive, orderly and clean work environment.
-Comfortable with high-volume shipping.
-Extensive experience in planning work, setting goals.
-Ability to develop rapport with customers and staff as well as maintain strong working relationships.
-Promotes team spirit and works collaboratively to achieve team goals.
-Other duties as assigned.

Required education: HS Diploma/GED
Preferred education: Bachelors: business management, logistics or related area a plus.
Required experience: 4 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience in the foodservice industry or related management experience that includes effective safety programs, inventory control processes, productivity and labor/ manpower management, customer service skills and government compliance for a large multistate distribution company.
MHE and facility maintenance experience. Time keeping systems knowledge, labor standards management, MHE certified driver, labor relations training, previous budgetary and bottom line experience are all a plus for this position.
