As part of the Customer Marketing team, you will develop marketing plans, strategies and tactics to drive the growth of profitable business within the lodging segment of foodservice.  Assist in development and execution of other Customer Marketing projects such as customer-specific promotions and division planning. In your role as a Customer Marketing Manager - Lodging at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:
Developing and executing measurable business strategies for the lodging channel, across the entire Kellogg’s product portfolio
Developing marketing plans which are consistent with key customer/channel strategies. Develop strategic plans by translating market research into usable insight, and prioritizing them based upon customer/channel impact. Plans include product, promotion, placement and people component
Serving as the primary link to internal Marketing resources for national account managers, sales team and customer national account team (i.e. Marriott, Hilton, etc.), communicating customer-specific innovation opportunities to the Business Unit Manager
Driving alignment within the Kellogg Company to deliver sustainable growth and profitability. Driving synergies with Retail Brand/Promotion teams to drive integrated cross-channel solutions for Lodging customers.
Developing ASM programs and brand activations that align with the strategic imperatives of key Lodging customers
Supporting business development at key locations, sales teams and national account teams. Developing and presenting strategic customer presentations with trends, category management tools and promotional concepts. Developing ASM programs for targeted customers that provide the greatest ROI
Supporting relevant innovation pipeline and product launches with customer insight, promotional support, etc.
Developing programs and promotions with marketing agencies and effectively manage timelines and budgets. Lead on-site activation and point-of-purchase displays
Directing the segment media plans including print, direct mail, e-media, etc. Oversee and manage the segments external websites.
Participating and supporting planning of key customer trade shows,
as appropriate
Delivering volume and profit results that contribute to achievement of the division’s overall financial objectives. Incumbent will be responsible for the management of marketing and overhead budgets for customer segment
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in marketing, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
BA/BS Degree OR high school diploma/GED plus significant related experience
Foodservice Marketing experience
In depth knowledge of industry trends, channel business dynamics, consumer dynamics and ability to develop integrated marketing communications plans to drive channel sales
Ability to assimilate raw research into sales presentations and basic business financial skills
Experience in developing consumer and business-to-business promotions
Experience in developing customer and business strategies
Ability to influence key groups both upward and laterally to accomplish established goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Experience in the hospitality / lodging segment
A flexible work schedule and the ability to travel up to 20% - 25% of the time
Presentations to large audiences and to customers will be required.
The individual must be experienced both leading and participating in a cross-functional team environment.
Strong need to be able to multi-task and manage effectively in a time-constrained environment
