Cooking requires skill, whether cooking for a single person, a family or professional. Not all possess inborn cooking skills; that is why some learn how to cook. People on foodservice employment take up a degree on hotel management in order to quality as a foodservice job holder.

However, some others insist on not learning this skill which results in 'cooking disasters'. To stay away from these mistakes, people should take care of few things, as: concentrate on cooking. This means one shouldn't daydream when cooking or shouldn't try to 'watch' what is going on the TV? Just listening can be enough.

Another issue, maybe as important as security issues, is foods. Everybody knows health is the most important possession. Therefore when cooking, we should be careful about freshness of the foods or expiry dates mentioned over them. Of course no one will be glad to blame himself for being a bad cook after trying to cook and eat stale food. Next, you know people should have an aim in all aspects of their lives, even when cooking. This is serious, because you may have to serve the meal to your girlfriend or boyfriend or the worst, to your boss who visits you surprisingly. So, the suggestion is not to take risk by trying to find 'sophisticated' tastes.


  • Do not try to figure out the heat of the boiling water using your fingers. It's simple if the water is boiling, it's over boiling point.
  • Be careful about touching to trays or pans when they are hot, unless wearing protective gloves.
  • Be aware of dangers that gas or electric appliances might cause. Of course these security issues are not the only warnings to be considered when cooking.
You know being not bald is good but hair may be a terrible problem when cooking, especially if they are not healthy. You must really look for your hair or simply wear a cover to save yourself. These simple but important issues can help you when cooking. Not to end up having a 'disaster', pay attention to these simple things. The best part is eating the meal you cooked in minutes or even in hours is important.
