a. Have on relaxed shoes and garments. The World Showcase Lagoon is a 1 mile loop. You will walk quite a few miles throughout the day and even in October temperatures in Orlando arrive up to 90s.
b. EPCOT will normally open at 9am but the World Showcase does not open until 11am. Visit the rest of EPCOT or sleep-in late. You will want to stay late for the fireworks.
c. Explore the published catalog of activities for the day. Get a Food and Wine Festival leaflet for the week of your visit. You can find a complete schedule at the gate or at the Festival Welcome Center in Future World.
d. Sign-up for a culinary seminar or wine tasting class and signature chef's meal. These sell-out very early so be sure to book in advance.
e. Be an open mind and try foods you usually wouldn't. Food and wine will be obtainable from countries from all over the globe. Attempt something fresh if you wish to find a new favorite food or wine.
f. To pay for samples make use of Disney Dining Plan snack credits. You may need to pay cash for the inexpensive samples. To buy alcohol Dining Plan credits cannot be used.
g. Buy a Food and Wine Festival themed Disney Gift Card to pay for samples. This may be more suitable than using cash but you may have to hang around if the card scanning machines are acting up. Fill the Disney Gift Card with a cash-back credit card and set aside some money.
h. Enjoy the live music concerts held 5:15pm, 6:30pm, and 7:45pm every day at the American Gardens Theatre.
9 i. Settle for the EPCOT enlightenments music, fireworks, laser and water show. Confirm with the
EPCOT Times Guide for show times every day. This show normally begins at 9pm.
