I've worked different positions, from entry level to management. In my experience, most interviews will contain at least one of the following three questions, all of which would be good potential interview questions and answers for restaurant jobs. I have also included two examples apiece, one of a good, through answer and one of an answer that's definitely lacking. I have worked in hiring departments and have heard answers very similar to all that follow.

Q: What do you think is your current biggest strength?

A: I'd have to say that my current biggest strength would have to by my ability to think things through. I like to think that I'm very good at stepping outside of a situation for a moment to evaluate the situation, see what needs to be done and in which order.

A: My biggest strength… well, I play a lot of paintball.

Q: What do you think is your current biggest fault?

A: My current biggest fault would have to be the fact that I tend to think too much. I like to be a very organized person. I like to have a clear picture in my mind of what I feel is the best way to get things done.

A: My biggest fault... my habitual drug use. Wait, do you do drug testing?

Q: If you could use a single word to describe yourself, what would that one word be? Please explain.

A: Empathetic. I find it quite easy to set myself into the place of another and see things the way they're seeing them. It comes in handy when I'm faced with an irate customer. I can see things through their eyes and hopefully figure out the best way to proceed to resolve the issue.

A: Apathetic. Definitely apathetic. It helps me to distance myself from people. I'm like a machine.
